His first role in public transport was working on the introduction of ITSO smartcard technology at the Oxford Bus Company, leading to the implementation of the very successful interoperable SmartZone scheme in July 2011. In 2016 Sean joined Go-Ahead Group, offering technical lead on the smartcard scheme solution for Southeastern Railway as part of the South Eastern Flexible Ticketing initiative. He also provided architecture for an enhanced Delay Repay system, Automated Delay Repay Notification and our expanded keyGo solution. keyGo represents the first large scale account-based ticketing product on National Rail, using existing ITSO technology and effectively setting the industry direction for smartcard. Alongside this he has supported upgrades in respect to CRM and eCRM systems, GDPR workstreams, and financial reconciliation processes. Sean is currently commercial and technical lead for the Smart Ticketing on National Rail programme for Go-Ahead and its train operators.
Sean has also been working in UKCA and Future Innovation workstreams.
